New Year, New Tricks

So the new year has begun. Miss Iss is taking the opportunity to turn over a new leaf and start ramping up her efforts to walk. At almost 9 months old (on Wednesday!), she has decided that even though it's early for her to do this walking thing, she's surely gonna try. She's started this thing where she'll stand up, think about taking a step, and then chicken out and hurtle her whole body towards the object she's going for. This resulted in a very bruised up forehead and a very traumatized babysitter (my sis-in-law) who tried to catch her crazy little self and failed. She was still very cheerful in spite of the failed attempt!

When Mommy went to work tonight, all was forgiven and they were all hanging out on sis-in-law's bed and playing doggy (looking out the window and "barking" like Koby does). It really blows me away how big Miss Iss has gotten. I can look at her and see the toddler in her. It's kind of wild. Her new favorite snack is Goldfish crackers and will shake her booty if the slightest bit of music plays. We were in A&F the other day with her Aunt Monkey. Miss Iss and I were chilling on the leather chairs while Aunt Monkey bought herself some (size 2!) jeans and yoga pants. They have that throbbing techno music on that is the hallmark of any store for the young, skinny, and incredibly hip. I thought it would be fun to bounce Miss Iss to the music, she then upped the ante with a full on booty shake that cracked me up! She's ready for the club ladies and gentleman!

We have her 9 month appointment on Wednesday, let's hope there aren't too many shots this time! Here's to Miss Iss's good health!
